Traveling On A Magical Trail
Golden honey amber sea glass spears washed smooth only by the warm waters of the Caribbean sway as they dance below soulful recycled glass beads from Ghana, Africa. We found the sea glass while wandering the beaches of Rincon, Puerto Rico. The beads are a cheerful golden yellow and have playful black, red and white lines and white and blue dots. They are 8mm W x 12mm W. They are modern day sandcast beads and were made with pulverized recycled glass. The beads are fired in a kiln which is made out of termite mound clay that is fueled with crushed palm kernels. These beads have a really cool grainy texture. Sea glass and recycled glass beads have a real affinity for each other and look beautiful together. I made these earrings with Argentium silver which is purer than traditional sterling silver. It is brighter and whiter than platinum, white gold and sterling silver and it is hypoallergenic. These earrings hang from my handmade ear wires which give sea glass earrings a beautiful artisan look and feel. The sea glass is approximately 11mm W x 19mmL. The earrings are nearly 2" L from the bottom of the ear wires. All Argentium silver. Authentic sea glass.
