A Sea Of Love
Honey amber sea glass from the Caribbean sways beneath soulful recycled glass beads. These long and dangly ( just over 2" L from the bottom of the ear wires ) earrings are perfect for free spirited mermaids! We found the sea glass ourselves while wandering the beaches of Rincon, Puerto Rico and it was worn smooth only by Caribbean surf. The recycled glass beads were made in Ghana. These types of recycled glass beads are called sandcast beads. They are made out of pulverized glass which is placed into molds and fired in a kiln. The kiln is made out of termite mound clay that is fueled with crushed palm kernels. The beads at the top of the earrings ( 8mm x 10mm ) are opaque turquoise blue and have playful details. The pyramid beads (7mm ) are royal blue and bring an oceanic beauty to these earrings. These beads have a really cool grainy texture. Sea glass and recycled glass beads have a real affinity for each other and look beautiful together. I made these earrings with Argentium silver which is purer than traditional sterling silver. It is brighter and whiter than platinum, white gold and sterling silver and it is hypoallergenic. These earrings hang from my handmade ear wires which give sea glass earrings a high end artisan look and feel. The sea glass is just over 5/8" L. Authentic sea glass.
