Sacred Waters Bangle
In this bi-metal bangle blue frosted glass beads with sunny and cheerful patterns and shiny opaque cornflower blue pyramid shaped beads are distanced by hand coiled fine ( pure ) silver wire as they circumnavigate a copper bangle. The beads are from Ghana and are made with recycled glass. They are made with glass bottles and other discarded glass items that are worked into a powder which is then placed into molds. The beads are fired in a kiln which is made out of termite mound clay that is fueled with crushed palm kernels. I antiqued the fine silver and copper to create a patina which gives this bangle bracelet a rustic and soulful beauty. The round beads are 10mm-12mm and the smaller pyramid shaped beads are 6mm. This bangle slips on and is small/medium in size. The inner diameter is 2&1/2" to 2&3/4". Copper has an ancient and warm beauty and it is also very inexpensive. Beautifully handmade here in my studio and beautifully affordable!
