“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
Transport yourself to a Caribbean shore where the sea is clear and colorful fish dart gracefully beneath gentle waves. Enchanting treasures wash ashore and then sweep away over and over again. Island breezes cleanse your soul, you become oceanic, you drink in the wild air and you are truly free. These earrings are long and have lots of island soul! Cobalt blue sea glass and mottled brown seashells sway beneath a trilogy of small sea pebble like pieces of cobalt blue sea glass. We found all of these beautiful treasures while wandering the beaches of Rincon, Puerto Rico and they were worn smooth only by Caribbean surf. The seashells are common dove shells and are from the Columbellidae family which is a type of sea snail that lives in the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. We found these lovely seashells empty and abandoned by their animals on the beach. I made these earrings by hand with Argentium silver. Argentium silver is superior to traditional silver. It is purer, brighter and whiter than traditional sterling silver. This beautiful silver tarnishes at a slower rate than traditional sterling silver and is hypoallergenic. These earrings hang from my handmade ear wires which give sea glass earrings a high end artisan look and feel. The sea glass is approximately 5/8" L. The seashells are approximately 5/8" L. The earrings are just shy of 2&1/2" L from the bottom of the ear wires. All Argentium silver. Authentic sea glass.
