A Magical Seascape
A breathtaking piece of multicolored sea glass with that was found on a beach in Seaham, England hangs from a spiraling bale. This oceanic masterpiece was found on a beach near the site of a Victorian era glassworks that discarded scraps of glass into the North Sea. It is an enchanting luminous blue with pink, lilac, olive green, yellow and turquoise blue color striations. Multicolored sea glass treasures such as this which have more than three colors in them are highly coveted amongst sea glass collectors. I made the spiraling bale by hand with sterling silver wire. The spirals celebrate the beauty and the power of the sea as they quietly hover above the sea glass. This pendant style is called Ocean Galaxy and allows for the color striations to be viewed from all angles. The side views of multicolored sea glass such as this are too beautiful to cover up. The sea glass is 7/8" L x 1/2" W. The entire pendant length is 1&1/4". Authentic sea glass.
