Yellow Sea Glass

Ultra rare yellow sea glass that we collected from the beaches of Rincon, Puerto Rico.

The information we provide about sea glass colors is based on what we have learned from our own experiences of collecting sea glass in Puerto Rico. Much of the information about origin applies to sea glass found in the states and Canada as well.

Yes there is such a thing as bright neon yellow sea glass and it is incredibly rare. This sea glass descends from various types of antique and vintage glassware. Much of this sea glass comes from uranium glass which is sometimes called "vaseline glass". The peak production era of uranium glass was from the late 1800's to the 1920's. Production of uranium glass dropped dramatically during the Cold War. Uranium glass was made with uranium and because of that we do not use it in any of our jewelry.
