Another Day In Paradise

Another Day In Paradise

I wanted to make a long endless necklace that celebrated the colors of the waters of the Caribbean and South Pacific and this necklace is the result! Using techniques and hand tools that have changed little over the millennia I shaped, spiraled, forged and soldered thick gauge Argentium silver into oceanic shapes. The sea glass colors are an assortment of dreamy and enchanting aquamarines, cerulean blues, turquoise blues, sapphire-cornflower blues and deep blues. These treasures were found on a beach in Seaham, England near the site of a Victorian era glassworks that discarded scraps of glass into the North Sea. They are like enchanting sea pebbles that washed ashore on a beach in an ancient paradise. Argentium silver is purer than traditional sterling silver. It is brighter and whiter than platinum, white gold and sterling silver and it is also hypoallergenic. This necklace is heirloom quality and with proper care will last for generations. This necklace has sold. I am working on some very special pieces of new jewelry so check back soon!
