Tropical storm Colin has passed and the Gulf Of Mexico is gentle and tranquil once again. While wandering the beach this morning I found a nice assortment of ancient fossilized sharks teeth. Some of our local beaches in Sarasota County, Florida are famous for ancient fossilized sharks teeth and other types of ancient fossils. The beachcombing here is amazing but there is very little in the way of sea glass here. The sea glass that I use to make jewelry with comes mostly from sea glass that we collected while living in Rincon, Puerto Rico and also from sea glass that we collected in Seaham, England. Once in a while we find sea glass on our local beaches here in Florida. This morning while looking for ancient fossilized sharks teeth I did find a piece of amber sea glass. Although amber is a common sea glass color it was still fun to find this piece on the beach this morning!
