"Smell the sea and feel the sky Let your soul and spirit fly into the mystic" Van Morrison
I love ancient things, sea changed and wind changed things, I love things that are rustic and soulful and imperfect but strong. I love things that are truly handmade with gentle tool marks. I am a purist in many ways. Metal become an extension of the maker as it is shaped with forming tools and forged with hammers. I love taking a straight piece of wire, a flat sheet of metal and forming it into a functional piece of jewelry. It is a magical experience to watch as the soul of a finished piece of jewelry emerges. When I am making jewelry in my studio I am informed by the answer to one question "Who do I make jewelry for?" I make jewelry for old souls, free spirits and for those that love time worn things and long for the craftsmanship of bygone eras.
